January Highlights

January 11th, 2010 in Comedy Night by admin
I think we can all agree that the weather this January was proper Brass Monkeys.  Duffle coats, woolly hats, gloves and, disappointingly, Ugg boots were everywhere to be seen.  Everywhere that is except at the fifth instalment of Interestment Presents…Get Up Stand Up.
Temperatures at The Bread and Roses soared to tropical measures with the body heat of each and every one of our lovely audience members – a lively, friendly bunch who were eager to laugh away their New Year blues.  And laugh they each did, all 120 of them! That’s right 120! –  our biggest audience yet!  We love you audience!
Well, as for the acts, they were top drawer and we send out a massive thanks to: Robert Commiskey, Rich Heap, Tony Tinman, Paul McGarrity, Kieran Boyd, Tania Edwards, Romesh Ranganathan, Joe Wilkinson and Eric Lampaert.  A special thanks to our guest compere, cheeky chappy Iain Stirling,  Children’s BBC presenter by day, rising star of the comedy circuit by night which made us realise (1) how bloomin’ lucky we were to have bagged him to host; and (2) whatever happened to Andy Crane?
Our next night 5 February 2010 promises to be a veritable doozy: two award-winning comedians, one third of BBC 3’s We Are Klang and a certain “deliciously dark” doctor to boot.  All this for only £4. Get reserving good people, it will be ace!

This is Alan, the man that keeps the website running - he could pull the plug at any time and leave the world with a whole lot less Interestment. All things web design and technical (basically, anything we don't understand) get directed to this guy.
